Beyond Work
My first poem was written for a school farewell after twelve years of schooling — an attempt to say with words what couldn't be said otherwise. Since then I have written poems, ghazals, and songs whenever life demanded expression. The Punjabi poetic tradition runs deep in me — from Waris Shah to Surjit Patar, from Baba Nazmi to Satinder Sartaaj.
Fine clothes and expensive cars are merely worldly show;
True success belongs to those who build, master, and grow themselves.

A farewell to my school, a place I will always hold dear

On courage over comfort.

A verse I love
"Chal patar hun dhundan chaliye bhuliya hoyia thaavan
Kithe tah Kithe chad aaye aa, an likhiyan kavitavan."
I came to music late, and not to perform — I wanted a way to carry my poetry. A held note, a glide between the two notes, the weight of a resting phrase — that's what pulls me in. I'm still learning and have a long way to go, but the practice gave me something I didn't expect — a place to stay still. That's as close to meditation as I get.
What moves me most is a melody inspired by a classical raga — where the melody is not just a scale but a feeling.
My first release
I never learnt Bhangra in a class or a studio. It found me at family weddings and celebrations, back when Bhangra Empire and the big crews of the early 2010s were setting the bar.
For me Bhangra isn't technique, it's energy — the most unfiltered joy I know. When I dance I'm not thinking or performing, I'm just letting the energy out.

My father is a farmer at heart. I grew up watching him bring life out of soil with just patience and water. My uncle loves flowers to the point of devotion — his garden is a gallery. I picked up something from both of them.
I'm an amateur at this, and I'm fine with that. I grow what I can — vegetables, fruit, whatever the season allows — and I take my time with it. Watching things grow gives me joy.
